REAL PEOPLE, GENUINE SOULS

Tonight, I'm thinking about the special people that have come into my life.  As I sit here and reflect on the special people in my life right now, as well as those in my past; my mind wanders a bit, and then I remember reading a particular sentence in a blog post earlier this week:

"Some come for a reason, some come for a season, others come for a life time."  Perfect.

How true is this?!

As I reflect on the people who've come and gone, a few come to mind who were only a friend when they needed a friend. They have come and gone.  Then there are others who have with stood the tests of time.  Those who I don't see or speak to on a regular basis, however, when we do, it's like we've never missed a beat.

Then there are others that have come into my life, and I see on a regular basis who bring joy and a smile to my world every day I see them.

I am grateful for all, however, my heart is full of love to a select few right now in particular.  These few are REAL people, with GENUINE souls who have touched my life.

Believe it or not, I can be pretty introverted. I am extremely selective on who I get really close to.  So, when I do, I do so with all my heart.

This blog post is to recognize them and to tell them how much they mean to me:

Celyn-  My twin sister and most definitely my better half.  There are no words to tell you how much I love you and how much you mean to me.  You're my role model and inspiration.

Tammy- You're a bestie for my restie!  Years have come and gone... we can go months and even years with out talking or seeing each other, but I love you still the same.  Oh, the laughter, the love, and the memories!
*Sorry I don't have a picture of us.  Digital cameras didn't exist back then.  If you have a pic, I want it!*

Nanci and Jim Boice.  Genuine and generous.  Classy and cool!  One day, I will make my way back to ATX to see you and to thank you in person for going above and beyond.  You are what I strive to become.

Pam and Ken Arthur.  It's been a while, but I think about you often and every time I do, I smile.  Ken, you always had a joke to tell and a laugh to go with it.  Pam, you always had a loving smile and an embracing heart.

You've all touched my life... and...  I LOVE YOU ALL!

...we are one.

"When I am in that place in me, and you are in that place in you... we are one."

Yesterday, I attended my favorite hot yoga class.  The yoga guide started the class with a personal story of his experience of love and compassion.  Last week, as he was driving home from work, he had a blow out.  In the 15 minutes that it took for him to change his tire, he had no less than 5 passer-bys stop and offer assistance.

He was amazed at the compassion of complete random strangers and their willingness to give. This caused him to look inward and ask himself, "Where is my compassion.  What can I give?"  He then asked each of us to reflect on our love and compassion.  He asked, "What can you give, what can you offer to a complete stranger or even to those you hold near and dear?"

My intention and mantra for the session was set: Clarity of mind and a deliberate heart.  The next 90 minutes of practice was a-maz-ing.  I was sweating buckets. Each sweat droplet was an affirmation of my mantra.   Each droplet released a worry or a negative thought, replaced by each heart beat; bringing in focus and positive energy.

As the practice came to a close, with clarity of mind and a deliberate heart, I laid there peacefully in savasana.  I floated in and out of thought....As streams of thoughts flowed in, they were of compassion and what I have to give.

My thoughts and love was directed to one person in particular....JW.

The words, "When I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you, we are one." captured the moment perfectly.

"As you think, you travel.  As you love, you attract.  You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughtstake you.  You cannot escape the results of your thoughts; but you canendure and learn, accept and be glad.  You will realize the vision of yourheart, not the idle wish.  You will gravitate toward that which you secretlymost love.  Into your hands will be placed the exact result of your thoughts;you will receive that which you earn; no more, no less.  Whatever yourpresent environment may be, you will fall, remain, or rise with your thoughts, your vision--your ideal."

Today's Thoughts on THOUGHTS...

This water crystal is important... keep reading to see why.
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS ON THOUGHTS:
THOUGHTS ARE POWERFUL,
 WORDS ARE THOUGHTS.
OBSERVE YOUR WORDS AND THOUGHTS.  PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOU FEEL.
DO YOU FEEL GOOD OR DO YOU FEEL BAD?

IS THERE A CORRELATION?
WHAT LIFE ARE YOU CREATING WITH YOUR WORDS AND THOUGHTS?

DELIBERATELY CREATE THE LIFE YOU WANT TO HAVE… CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS, CHANGE YOUR WORDS… THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS, SAY POSITIVE WORDS.

WHAT EVER YOU WANT WILL BE.
THERE IS NOTHING THAT YOU CANNOT BE, OR DO, OR HAVE.

The other day I went to work, opened the bay doors and turned on Pandora Radio to a "peppy" up beat tune.  I like to make sure the floor is clear, the music is going, and the environment is inviting for the members as they walk through the door.  I like to greet each person by name with a smile and a hello.

One by one, I greeted each member, as they went straight to the white board to see what the Work Out of the Day was.  Like most days, the ladies began chatting up a storm and sharing stories of their day.   In some chat circles, I heard words of negative self speak, foul language, and abrasive words.  The atmosphere of the gym suddenly took a nose dive and it went from a place of high and positive energy to down right draining.

This had to stop!  I quickly got their attention. "Whoa, whoa, whoa...ladies, ladies, ladies!!!"  What is up with all of the: "I hates, and I can'ts and F-bombs?", I said?  "This is a place of positivity, this is a safe-haven.  When we walk in these doors, we leave all that outside, and we focus on doing good for our bodies and our minds.  We have fun in here."  I then initiated a new rule.  If I hear negative self speak or negative chatter, then we will all put a smile on our face as we gladly do 25 burpees as a group.

This immediately got all of their attention and actually put a smile on our faces.  Some of the ladies even giggled at my new rule.

I can say the the atmosphere has definitely changed.  It's refreshing to hear positive words.  Words of "I can, or I will give it my all... or Way to go!"  I smile and giggle to myself when I hear them remind each other, "Hey, only positive words, or else...."

I love what I do... I love those ladies.  I am grateful for all that I have and the opportunity to do what I love.

Now... back to my water crystal... the connection:

Dr. Masaru Emoto was experimenting to see the differences in crystal formations with different types of water.  He came across something very unexpected...

WORDS AND THOUGHTS ARE POWERFUL!!!

This is amazing... This is his discovery in his own words:

"During the process of sampling and photographing different kinds of water, it seemed to me that the quality of the ice-crystals depended on more than just whether it was natural or tap water. I came up with a hypothesis: "Water shows different shapes of ice crystals depending on the information it has received." I was certain that the difference in ice-crystal formation was not due solely to the presence or absence of chlorine but to the other information affecting it.
To test this, I put the water into two glass bottles. On one bottle, I pasted a label typed, "Thank you," and on the other, "You fool," in such a way that water would be able to "read" them. The water in both bottles was the same. I then froze the water in each bottle.
The results were more than supportive of my theory; the water in the bottle with "Thank you" formed beautiful hexagonal crystals, while the one with "You fool" had only fragments of crystals.
If water collects information and its crystals reflect those characteristics, it means that the quality of water changes based on the information it receives. In other words, the information we give water changes its quality.

happy and unhappy water crystalsI was more motivated than ever to study water, and at the same time, I started to think about how people would be able to become happy with good water. As this experiment convinced me that my theory was correct, we then began to give water various information, freeze it, and photograph the crystals. The results were interesting.
We consistently found that water responded to positive words by forming beautiful crystals. As if it wanted to express its joyous feeling, the crystals opened up like a flower. In contrast, when the water was shown negative words, it did not form crystals.
For example, when we showed water the word "happiness," it formed crystals with well-balanced shapes like beautifully cut diamonds. On the other hand, water exposed to the word "unhappiness" resulted in broken and unbalanced crystals. That water seemed to have tried hard to form crystals, but it exhausted its strength and crashed, happiness slipping away from it.
We continued to show a pair of opposite words to the same water, "well done" versus "no good," "like" versus "dislike," "power" versus "powerlessness," "angel" versus "devil," and "peace" versus "war." Water formed crystals only when it was shown the positive words.

love and gratitudeInterestingly, water responded to foreign words in a similar but not exact manner as it did to Japanese words. Water formed beautiful crystals to all the words expressing gratitude all over the world, such as thank you (English), duoxie (Chinese), merci (French), danke (German), grazie (Italian), and kamusamunida (Korean).
Water seems to correctly understand the essence of what it was shown -- in this case, the feeling of gratitude -- and take the information in. Water didn't recognize the word it saw as a simple design; rather it understood the meaning of it. When water realized that the word contained good information, it formed crystals. Perhaps water is also capable of sensing the heart of the person who wrote the word.
As we were exposing water to lots of words and taking photographs of the resulting crystals, my eyes were glued to one photo, more beautiful than any other water crystal pictures I had seen. I was fascinated by its beauty.
The crystal was opened up as strongly as if a fully blossoming flower. It was as if the water was stretching its hands fully expressing its joy. The words we had shown the water were, "love and gratitude."

Since then we have talked to water with many kind words, showed it beautiful pictures, and played wonderful healing music, but we have never again been able to take water-crystal pictures as beautiful as the one that resulted from showing water the words, "love and gratitude." To water, the words "love and gratitude" must be the best information.
"We must pay respect to water and feel love and gratitude, and receive vibrations with a positive attitude. Then, water changes, you change, and I change. Because both you and I are water."
